WORRKING TOGETHER TO CELEBRATE A GREAT DAY

On October the 31st we celebrated Haloween at school. Before this day, pupils from the 4th year of ESO helped teachers to prepare the horror tunnel. We shared the work and we were very happy to come to school on Tuesday afternoon to collaborate in the organization.
To start the day, all the pupils and teachers went to the assembly hall to watch a short play called "The Ana's Family", which incited students to spend Halloween day doing some activities.
After that, I gave the prizes to the winners of Jack o' lantern contest.
Then there were some workshops, pupils from the 6th year of Primary and the 1st year of ESO were in charge of them with the help of some teachers. All of them were super cool and frightening.
Students could also visit the horror tunnel, they had to pass through some different scenes like a classroom, a dining room, a bedroom and bathrooms, they were very well decorated  and very scary.

It was an incredible experience for my classmates and me and we were pleased to share it with teachers and students.

We Are The Dinosaurs - Lyrics in Description

We are the dinosaurs marching marching, We are the dinosaurs
Whaddaya think of that?
We are the dinosaurs marching marching
We are the dinosaurs we make the earth flat, We make the earth flat

We stop and eat our food when we're in the mood
We stop and eat our food on the ground
We stop and eat our food when we're in the mood
We stop and eat our food and then we march around
'cause we are the dinosaurs
We stop and take a rest over in our nest
We stop and take a rest at the end of the day,
We stop and take a rest over in our nest
We stop and take a rest and then you'll hear us say
That:
We are the dinosaurs marching marching, We are the dinosaurs
Whaddaya think of that?
We are the dinosaurs marching marching
We are the dinosaurs we make the earth flat, We make the earth flat,
And then we roar! 'cause we are the dinosaurs!

OPEN DOORS DAY

On 10th March the day of Open Doors was celebrated in La Inmaculada school.
The school opened its doors to people to come in and see the classes, labs, and all facilities in general.
That day, students could do all kind of activities. There were artistic, action and languages workshops among others.
At the language laboratory, children played a lot of games in English and French. There were different games for different ages like videos for little children, Gruffalo website with a lot of activities for Primary students and the site "lyrics training" for the oldest where pupils had to complete the lyrics of a song.
When children finished their workshop, they could take some sweets.
Finally, the pre-school education teachers did a play called "The fish of colours"

The Open Doors day was fantastic, great, incredible...

ENGLISH THEATRE

New York New Delhi

On the 5th February, all Secondary students went to the theatre to watch an English play called New York, New Delhi. It was really funny and there were a lot of famous songs, but the plot wasn’t interesting enough. All of us thought that it would be different.

The play was about two people, a boy and a girl, who met at the airport. Suddenly, they heard that their flights had been cancelled. They talked a lot and they discovered that they were good friends in the past.

They remembered a lot of anecdotes: when a teacher punished them, when they went to a music concert and it was suspended or when they went to a football match and it was suspended too … It was also the perfect occasion to bring back memories of the love they both felt from the first moment they met.

During the scenes, the actors asked us for help and some volunteers helped them. When the play finished, we could ask some questions to the actors.

The scenes weren’t as good as we had expected but we spent time listening to actors speaking English and it was useful to improve our ability to understand the language.
